… About us |
|
On behalf of the McCaffrey family, St. Bartholomew Life Teen, and The American Cancer Society, we would like to thank you for your interest in The Shamrock Open Golf Outing in memory of Jerry McCaffrey. We would like you to know the reasons why our family started this event.
First, we wanted to raise awareness of cancer and specifically colorectal cancer. We also wanted to make a donation to The American Cancer Society in our Father’s name to keep his memory alive. The money raised at this event is donated through the St. Bartholomew Life Teen to The American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
We also wanted to carry on a tradition that our Father started many years ago. Our Dad always liked to plan gatherings for family, friends, and co-workers. Throughout the course of his life he planned football trips, picnics, vacations, and parties all in the hope to show everyone a good time. Every time he organized an event it was always a tremendous success. This is one of the things that people remember about our Dad and we wanted to carry on that tradition.
So it is our hope that you join us in making this year’s outing a huge success. The past four Shamrock Open Golf Outings were a very successful, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s kind generosity and effort. As a result of the previous outings we were able to donate $47,225.00 to The American Cancer Society! So, let’s keep the effort going strong and make this year bigger and better! Whether you play in the outing, volunteer your time, make a donation, or sponsor a hole, the end result is well worth it.
Again, thank you for your support and contribution to a very worthy cause.
